Description

A rare collectible from the 1920/30s, this is a cast-iron and enamel Georg Haller kerosene two-wick stove. While the mica shield for the glass window has perished with time, the portable stove is unused and in mint condition. Haller "Origineel" kerosene stoves were made by Georg Haller Co. of Ottensen, Germany. Haller stoves date from circa 1900, and the production apparently ceased by 1975. They were popular in the early 1900s as the Industrial Revolution in Europe drove rural residents to the cities to find work and these portable stoves fit right into their nomadic life.
