Vahana, a Sanskrit word, literally means 'that which carries' or 'that which pulls'. Vahanas, or vehicles of god, are animals or mythical entities, that a Hindu deity is said to use as a vehicle. This peacock vahana is an old collectible from North Karnataka. The piece is in good condition, with slight loss of paint.
