Description
This is an original movie poster for Orient by Night, a 1962 Italian film directed by Roberto Bianchi Montero. Released in Italy as 'Notti Calde d’Oriente' and in English-speaking countries as Orient by Night, the film was presented as a “sexy nocturne” in the popular mondo documentary style of the period. The poster has a Hindi phrase "Masti ki Raatein" on it, which would have been added on to the poster for its released in Hindi-speaking belts of India.
Mondo films, which emerged in the early 1960s, blended exotic imagery with sensationalist themes, catering to Western curiosity about foreign cultures.
