An auspicious element in Hindu tradition, Deepalakshmi is a representation of the Goddess Lakshmi, holding a lamp or a ‘deep’ (diya) in her hands. Usually featuring a lamp that can be lit, Deeplakshmi is a symbol of good luck and prosperity, and the light that guides one in times of darkness and adversity. This Deepalakshmi is a stunning old collectible from South India. Made of bronze, the piece has been mounted on a wooden base, as the original base is missing. The height of the figure without the base is 15.75 inches.
