Description

This exquisite conch shell with casing is from South India. Decorated with Yali's face, the old collectible would have been used as part of worship. Yali is a mythical creature seen in many Hindu temples, often sculpted onto the pillars.  

The brass stand is a separate piece, but is included in the price. The condition is good; the conch shell is likely to have been replaced at some point.
