Description

An exquisite collectible for the discerning collector, this old door panel is from the Chettinad region in Tamil Nadu.  Made of wood, the panel features intricate carvings depicting many characters. The subjects are Gajalakshmi (Goddess Lakshmi with elephants) in the centre, and Girija Kalyana (Shiva's wedding to Parvati) on either side. The stands can be turned, in order to hang the panel on the wall. The piece is in good condition.
