Description
In Hinduism, Nandi is the name of the bull who serves as the mount and gatekeeper of Lord Shiva and Parvati. All over India, temples dedicated to Shiva generally have a seated Nandi displayed at the entrance. Made of sawdust and papier-mâché, this polychromatic figure of Nandi is from Andhra Pradesh. An old collectible, it has undergone normal wear with slight loss of colour in patches, but is in a good condition.
