Description

This is a vintage, Japanese, Fleetwood brand transistor radio in the form of a globe, in working condition. The 1960s globe sits on a black bakerlite base and has a downward facing speaker near the south pole. The aluminium band around the equator has the words Transistor Six Fleetwood. The gold and silver coloured globe has an on-off dial at the north pole. The tuner is on a sliding aluminium band which runs between the north and south poles. This shotwave/am radio also has a port for headphones. The radio normally requires 6xAA batteries but someone has converted this at some point to power operated.
