This Pye wave band radio, Model no. 3029 (featuring SW/MW, 200/250 volts, 40/100 cycles) is from the 1950/60s, and is in working order. This model was made in India by the National Ekco Radio & Engineering Company, Ewart House, Bruce Street, Fort, Bombay for the mother company PYE Ltd, Cambridge England. Pye was a Cambridge company started by William George Pye in 1896. Originally an instrument manufacturing company, Pye expanded into many fields and became particularly famous for its radios.
