Description

This Japanese “Mikky Phone”, is a fully functional 78 rpm portable crank gramophone. The crank, horn and reproducer all come apart to easily store in the metal case. The three arms that hold the record, collapse and rotate inwards to enclose within the box. The Mikky Phone was created and produced in Japan in the 1930s so people could effortlessly take their music along with them. It was widely marketed with the catchphrase “Perfect for a picnic!”
The Mikky Phone measures 5.75 x 9.25 x 3.5 inches when opened. The closed box measures 5.75 x 4.75 x 4 inches. Three 78rpm records are included for free on purchase of this Mikky Phone!
