Description

In Hinduism, Nandi is the name of the bull who serves as the mount/vahana and gatekeeper of Lord Shiva. All over India, temples dedicated to Shiva generally have a seated Nandi displayed at the entrance. This hollow sculpture of a standing Nandi is made of silver, with gold waterfoil engravings on the body. Elaborate in its carvings and detailing, the piece is an exquisite find.
