This Underwood typewriter from the 1950s is an incredible find, with its mighty build gleaming in rich metallic dark green shade. This 8J105 Alcoa model has been restored to working condition.
The Underwood Typewriter Company, headquartered in New York City, produced what is considered the first widely successful, modern typewriter. Underwood once promoted itself by building the largest typewriter in the world, with each key big enough for a grown person to sit on. It was on display in Atlantic City for several years.
