The Chronostamp, made in England, is available in its original box from the 1950s. This is a mechanical clock that works with daily windings. The date ends in the year 1956.
The stamp was designed to print the date and time onto a document, for an accurate record of its dispatch or arrival. It includes a metal unit with an embedded analogue clock facing upwards while the date and time stamps are on the underside. The analogue clock, works upon daily winding. The set also includes an original tin of stamps for various dates from the past, tweezers for changing the stamps and a key for winding the clock.
The size of the outer box is 5.25 x 4.75 x 3 inches.
