Description

Finely detailed brass altar with Vaishnavite attributes such as Shanku (conch) and Chakra (wheel). The outer prabhavali emerges from the mouths of two makaras at the base, and has a protective Kirtimukha at the apex. There is also an inner cusped arch emerging from the mouths of two smaller makaras, within which is an intricate floral design. Below the Kirtimukha is the multi-headed serpent Shesha. The base has been handmade for this piece.
