Santosh Maravi
Born in 1983, Santosh Maravi is an emerging Gond artist who trained under Mayank Jangarh Shyam. His work departs from conventional Gond imagery, moving toward a more abstract visual language shaped by imagination and experimentation. He is particularly known for using motifs inspired by the glass of an oil lantern, which recur as a distinctive element in his compositions. Working with a strong sense of rhythm and pattern, Santosh's paintings explore form beyond traditional narrative structures. He has participated in workshops organised by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, contributing to his evolving practice.
