Description

An interesting artefact from the early 1900s, this English time punch clock makes for a prized period possession. Made in cast iron and brass, the collectible features an analogue clock in the front and winding portals at the back, whose keys are missing. The front key is also missing, and would have allowed the changing of dates, and for cleaning and inking. The words "Warrick Time Stamp Company, Camden Passage" can be seen on the top of the clock, and "Islington London" towards the bottom.
Timestamps and other methods of monitoring employees were developed towards the end of the 19th century, with the rise of general office technology.
