Intersections: Ashok Bhowmick
Bangalore, IndiaArtisera
Presented jointly by Artisera and Dhoomimal Gallery, Intersections is a solo exhibition by Ashok Bhowmick. A senior artist, Bhowmick has spent more than five decades developing a distinctive visual language, most immediately recognisable through his extraordinary command of cross-hatching. ‘Intersections’ brings together recurring encounters within his practice: between observation and imagination, figuration and abstraction, precision and emotion, and the individual and the society to which they belong.
