Chris was a happy man, without the least doubt, a winner. “Fortune smiles at the courageous”, he had the habit of saying. His schedule was always overbooked. When he wasn’t on a business trip he was at his office giving orders, talking on the mobile phone, sending messages and emails or buying and selling shares. A hyperactive.
When he travelled by plane, it was always in business class and taking advantage of his VIP status. He wore only custom-made Italian shoes, English tailored suits and best quality shirts. He slept but 4 hours a night, dreaming of financial markets and stock options. He saw himself as future president of the company, until one day, a huge wave of stress and a terrible nervous breakdown led him to re-think his life.
He bought a mountain cabin, a hammock for two and from time to time went butterfly hunting. Chris is really a happy guy.

Guillermo Forchino is an Argentinian sculptor who is world renowned for his range of caricature sculptures. Forchino began experimenting with various materials to create his art in the 1980s. The research began in the city of his birth – Rosario, Argentina, and continued during his studies in art restoration and conservation at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France. During that time, he discovered and mastered many classic techniques and materials. After completing his studies in Paris, Guillermo returned to Argentina, where he directed the Juan B. Castagnino atelier of art restoration for the Museum of Beaux-Arts in Rosario.
From the end of the 1980s, Forchino used polyresins to create figurines and scenes that resembled the world of comic strip and cartoon characters. He would depict unusual and humorous subjects, typically in a vehicle, giving them a unique and distinct character. Some examples include a family leaving on vacation in an overloaded car with flat tires, or a tired old American pick-up truck from the 1950’s with equally tired passengers. He also created other modes of transportation such as boats, planes, and motorcycles. In later years, Forchino developed a line of individuals in sports and a variety of professions that was named the “Professionals Series”. His brilliant creations have found a large collector audience worldwide.
In 2003, a collaboration between Guillermo Forchino and VMM resulted in the worldwide introduction of replicas of his work. The reproductions are fully handmade and hand painted, just like the originals, under the close supervision of Forchino himself. Some of the sculptures are reproduced in the same size as the original created by Forchino, while others are reduced in size to 50% or 75% of the original. Through this initiative, Forchino’s sculptures are available to collectors around the world in the form of limited edition series. Each piece is identified by a stamped signature and a unique number at the bottom. A numbered certificate of authenticity is also provided with the brilliantly detailed, laughter evoking caricature sculptures.
Guillermo Forchino lives and works in Paris. His workshop is a few steps away from the world famous Père Lachaise cemetery.
