Brackets are architectural elements projected from a wall, usually to carry weight or to strengthen an angle. Intricately carved and painted brackets were often found in old palaces and temples in India.
This set of three brackets depicting musicians holding different musical instruments is from Gujarat, most likely from the 1940-1950's. The top of the trumpet that is held by the central figure, is missing. These would have been used as decorative architectural elements. There is some normal wear and tear due to ageing. The brackets are mounted on a wooden base.
Price is inclusive of applicable taxes (14.5%).
