ABOUT Babu Eshwar Prasad

Born in 1968, Bangalore-based artist Babu Eshwar Prasad completed a BFA in Painting from the College of Fine Arts, Bangalore in 1989 and a Master’s in Printmaking from M.S University, Baroda in 1992.

Prasad has participated in several group shows all over India. Though he works primarily with acrylics and prints, his other interest areas include sculpture and video art. His works feature in the National Gallery of Modern Art, the Karnataka Lalit Kala Akademi, and in several public and private collections in India and abroad. A recipient of the National Scholarship in 1989-1991 by the Ministry of Human Resources, Prasad also worked under the supervision of the renowned artist K. Laxma Goud in Baroda.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Artworks should be displayed away from direct sunlight and breeze. To clean accumulated dust from a painting, use a soft, dry brush very lightly on the surface. Make sure there is no moisture on the bristles before touching the artwork. For repairing more severe damage, such as cracks or discolouration, it is best to seek help from a professional. Once a year, remove the artwork from the wall for a couple of days to let the wall breathe and avoid moisture accumulation.
