Treibor Mawlong
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Treibor Mawlong is a contemporary Indian artist from Mairang, a town in the West Khasi Hills of Meghalaya. He studied at the Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan, and graduated in 2012. A recipient of the and the Inlaks Fine Arts Award in 2014, Mawlong’s art depicts the tales and experiences of life in the Khasi-Jaintia Hills of North-East India. His bold yet simple woodcut prints are a representation of fragmented and random memories, including numerous scenes and events of growing up in Meghalaya.
