This and That

This and That is a design studio that brings to life the age-old tradition of handcrafted furniture. Founded by Ariane Thakore Ginwala, the studio makes furniture from solid teak wood reclaimed from old houses in Ahmedabad. Every piece originates from a beautiful narrative, fusing fine décor, art and craftsmanship. Brass, copper and German silver metals are combined with teak in the studio’s stylized and interesting chairs, consoles, centre tables, side tables and more. This and That uses handcrafted techniques to create textures in wood and metal, while also featuring mosaic and inlay works using traditional local woods, in their artistic pieces of furniture.
