Rakhi Peswani
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Born in 1977, Rakhi Peswani completed a BFA in Painting and an MFA in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S University, Baroda. Inspired by the disorganized and sometimes painful change that India undergoes in the process of rapid urbanization and development, Peswani’s art reflects a local and a global character as she explores the chaos of contemporary realities.
With many solo and group shows in India and abroad, Peswani received the Emerging Artist Award, . In 2006, she received the Inlaks Scholarship for the UNIDEE Residency at Cittadellarte, Fondazione Pistoletto, Italy.
