Vishnu, the Preserver or the Protector, is one of the three deities in the Great Trinity of Hinduism, along with Shiva and Brahma. The followers of Vishnu form one of the main denominations in Hinduism, called Vaishnavism. Statues of Vishnu usually depict him holding the conch shell (shankha), discus (chakra), mace (gada) and lotus (padma). This sculpture of Vishnu is beautifully crafted, with exquisite details on the crown and the body. Made of silver, and cast using the lost wax process, the sculpture is an old collectible.
