Description

This piece is an exquisite reproduction of a British Colonial library chair, with a hand caned seat and back. The front legs are hand turned, while the rear legs are shorter and lightly raked. A wide, slightly inclined seat and an ever so slightly curved backrest, makes it extremely comfortable to be in for longer periods. The armrests are extensive and ergonomically curved. Each arm has 6 elegant spindle supports. It is a good chair to read in or watch TV from, with your feet up on a foot stool. This piece is made in teakwood and finished with matte melamine polish. The caning weave is a '7 step' pattern in high quality cane from Assam.
