Her paintings are in several major collections. Menon took up art while still in school, and by the time she was 15, had already sold a few paintings. Finding the J.J. School of Art academically stifling, in 1959, Menon departed India to study art in Europe on a scholarship from the French Government. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMenon's preferred medium is oil on masonite, though she has also worked in other media, including glass and water colour. She is a well known muralist.
